<p>2. Contest open to farm tractors with rubber tires. No cut tires, no tire studs or chains permitted. Four wheel drive tractors are permitted if front wheels are disengaged. No dual wheels. All factory wheels must be in place. Maximum tire width is 24.5” in all classes.</p>
<p>3. All weights must be secured to the tractor. No weight may extend more than 24” beyond the forward most point of hood or front tires. No weights permitted on seat or deck. Any weights or external parts lost while hooked to the sled will be cause for disqualification of the pull. No weights to extend past rear of the rear tire.</p>
<p>4. Minimum draw bar length is 18” from the center of rear axle to point of hook up. Draw bar must be stationary in all directions. Maximum height is 20” from top of hitching device parallel to the ground. Any vertical clevis will be measured to center of loop.</p>
<p>5. Draw bar must be equipped with steel hitching device with thickness no less than 1” square or 1-1/8” round stock and no more than 1-1/2” thick square or round stock. A minimum 3” and maximum 3-1/2” diameter hole is required. A cross sectional thickness of 1” square minimum must be maintained at any given point of hitch loop. No bracing above center of rear axle except for complete factory set-up. If above center, it must be cradled.</p>
<p>6. A 3000 R.P.M. limit on all tractors.</p>
<p>7. 10,500 lb. class and up will be permitted add on turbo; turbo must match make and model of tractor or may be no larger than a 3LM 466. The compressor housing will have a maximum of 2.9” I.D. of intake and 2.0” O.D. outlet. The exhaust housing will be no larger than 360 with a maximum outlet of 3.06” I.D.</p>
<p>9. OEM injection pump.</p>
<p>10. Tractors must have working PTO and hydraulics.</p>
<p>11. Tractor must be stock agricultural block with no visual engine modifications. Engine must be of original type or factory replacement. Original hood and grill must be in place. 1957 and newer must have rear fenders.</p>
<p>12. All tractors must be equipped with both rear brakes working. Use of torque converters, automatic shift, etc. is permitted. No industrial tractors or slipper clutches allowed.</p>
<p>13. No foot cross over and no hand control of foot brakes permitted.</p>

<p>SAFETY EQUIPMENT; Helmet, Fire Suit, Wheelie bars, Roll cages, kill switches, fire extinguishers, fenders, side shields, SFI flywheels and pressure plates, scatter blanket or steel shields, no steel fans, all electric fuel pumps must be wired to the kill switch. Wide front axles. No cast iron engine frames. (ladder bars are recommended).</p>
<p>INJECTOR PUMPS; P – Pump maximum, one plunger per cylinder. No computerized fuel systems allowed.</p>
<p>The Committee will monitor the new pump rule and may make changes to level the playing field as they deem necessary.</p>
<p>MANIFOLDS; No inner coolers, no after coolers. OEM stock intake and exhaust  manifolds for that series engine, alteration for turbo mounting allowed.</p>
<p>TURBO, ONE ONLY; One single stage turbo allowed. Turbo must not extend through hood.</p>
<p>A. Exhaust bolt pattern no larger than 2.750 in x 3. 250 in .</p>
<p>B. No altering of a housing to accommodate a smaller base; e.g. T-18A95 with a smaller base welded to it. No external altering of housings. Compressor housing must be 3LM style with 2” OD outlet.</p>
<p>C.   A compressor measurement to be measured at the face of the wheel inlet of a maximum of  2.7 in. The wheel may be no larger than  this measurement at the inlet. Tips of wheel must protrude into opening at least 1/8”. No slots or grooves. A maximum of  2 in. OD at the outlet.</p>
<p>D.    An exhaust measurement to be measured at the face of the wheel outlet of a maximum of   3 in. The wheel may be no larger than this measurement at the outlet.</p>

<p>2.      Maximum wheelbase of 134” for FWD Super Stock Trucks. Must be OEM frame of same manufacture of truck.</p>
<p>3.      Front axle must remain in intended original location. Center of front and rear wheels cannot exceed plus or minus two (2) inches of fender wheels being used.</p>
<p>4.      Open body vehicles must have roll bar and driver must wear helmet and eye protection.</p>
<p>5.      After market transfer cases and transmission permitted.</p>
<p>6.      Engine limited to 410 cubic inches. Must be same manufacture as the truck. Any cam allowed and intake changes permitted with one (1) complete single four-barrel carburetor. Aluminum heads are allowed.  Aluminum block allowed must maintain stock bore spacing. Cubic inch checks may be conducted at the discretion of the competition director.</p>
<p>7.      Fuel injection, air compressing devices, and aluminum engine blocks are not allowed.</p>
<p>8.      All exhaust must exit vertically upward.</p>
<p>9.      Engine to remain in stock location as intended by manufacturer, twelve (12) inches from center of front axle to rear of block.</p>
<p>10.     Drawbar must be a minimum of 2 square inches total material (steel) at any point. This includes the area of the pin with the pin removed.</p>
<p>A. No pin less than 7/8 inches.</p>
<p>B. Draw bar must be equipped with a steel hitching device not more than 1-1/2” x 1/2” square (1-1/2” round stock at point of hook), with a 3” round hole, maximum 3-1/2” round hole.</p>
<p>C. Length of hitch to be a minimum of 27% of wheelbase.</p>
<p>11.     Tires – original tread pattern must be visual. Maximum tire circumference 110 inches, tire patch 18 inch maximum. Recaps allowed. Bar tires are permitted, maximum size 35 x 18.50 x 15 as stamped.</p>
<p>12.     No deflector shields front or rear behind the tires.</p>
<p>13.     Helmets – Must meet or exceed Snell 90 rating or must be SFI Spec. 31.2. No modifications or alterations of the helmets are allowed.</p>
<p>14.     Fire Suits – Competing drivers are required to wear a minimum protective clothing of SFI 3.2A-1 driving suits and leather boots. Head socks and gloves are optional.</p>

<p>3.   Headers – Open headers.  Exhaust must exit below the truck with deflection shields or turn downs, or vertically through the hood.</p>
<p>4.   Intake – Aluminum intakes allowed. No tunnel rams. One (1) complete single four- (4) barrel carburetor only.</p>
<p>5.   Drive Shaft Safety Requirements – Same as Super Stock. All trucks must have three (3) round metal loops shielding in each drive shaft (two (2) piece drive shaft will have six (6) metal loops). 360 degree loop must be a minimum of 3/8” thick aluminum, or ¼” steel, ¾” wide (or wider) and not more than two (2) inches from the shaft in any direction. End loops to be placed no further than six (6) inches from universal joints, with third loop in center of shaft, or can be a solid tube (3/8” aluminum or ¼” steel) meeting the above requirements. No cast metal. All trucks will have a 360 degree metal shield around the universal joints, 3/8” thick aluminum must have 1/8” steel liner or ¼” thick steel, minimum width six (6) inches.</p>
<p>6.   Kill Switch – Same as Super Stock. Switch must be located in the rear center of the truck (maximum six (6) inches off center in any direction), 24” above the point of hook.</p>
<p>7.   Suspension – Solid suspension allowed. Traction bars optional, front and rear.</p>
<p>8.   Wheelbase – 134” maximum.</p>
<p>9.   Tires – 31” x 15.50” x 15″ Wrangler or Omnitrax tires.</p>
<p>a.   Cut tires allowed.</p>
<p>b.   1/2 stagger rule front to rear.</p>
<p>c.   No deflector shields front or rear behind the tires.</p>
<p>10.  Weights – Front weights permitted. Maximum overall 60” from center of front axle to furthermost point of weights.</p>
<p>11.  Transmissions/Clutches –Clutches must meet minimum SFI Spec 1.1 or 1.2.  Bell housing must meet minimum SFI Spec 6.1.  Automatics must run a minimum SFI Spec 4.1 blanket that extends from back of engine block to front of tail shaft.  Blanket must have a minimum 6” overlap and must be tight to back of block.  Single OEM equipped transmissions and transfer case blow proof bell housing or blanket.</p>
<p>12.  Safety – Fire suits &#038; helmets required same as Super Stock Truck rules.</p>
<p>13.  Hitch – Full 3” I.D. loop. 26” maximum height and 27% of wheelbase minimum. Stationary in all directions. Hitch must be accessible.</p>
<p>14.  Fuel – Gasoline for 540 cubic inch engines or alcohol for 410 cubic inch engines. No oxygen accelerators.</p>
<p>15.  Fuel Tanks – All fuel tanks must be located in an open area. Fuel tanks may not be located under hood or in cab, unless factory installed tanks are used. However, factory installed fuel tanks may be moved to an open area.  Must have a manual shut-off at the tank.</p>
<p>16.  Electric fuel pump optional, but must be hooked up to the kill switch.</p>
<p>17.  No hood or body modifications, except for working hood scoop of 6” and/or header exits.  Body must be steel. Must have factory firewall, bench seat or one bucket seat, switches optional. Wood and fiberglass beds are permitted. Any floor or tonneau cover permitted. Driveline must not be visible.</p>
<p>18.  Must have working brakes on front. Lights and rear brakes optional.</p>
<p>19.  Door has to work.  Glass, Plexiglass or lexan allowed.  No tinted windows.</p>
<p>20.  Fire extinguisher in cab is required. Helmets and seatbelts required.</p>
<p>21.  No planetary rear-ends.</p>
<p>22.  All trucks will be pumped and checked before they can pull. They will have to provide two (2) intake bolts with holes of 1/16” to be sealed.</p>
<p>23.  Rules will be reviewed on a yearly basis.</p>
<p>24.  No Northwest Limited Modified 4 x 4 truck is eligible to pull Northwest Street Stock. However, you can move to Northwest Super Stock, but you will have to stay in Northwest Super Stock for the remainder of the pulling year and must comply to all Northwest Super Stock rules. Any driver arguing with a track official is subject to immediate disqualification. All decisions of the track official will be final at each pull. Any protests will be settled at next club meeting.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Street Diesel (SD) class is designed for streetable pickup trucks with a wide variety of performance upgrades. Valid DOT registration and license plates are mandatory. The vehicle may be two or four-wheel drive.</p>
<p>Designations: 2.6 SD</p>
<p>Weight: 8000 lbs. Maximum, with driver.</p>
<p>REGULATIONS:</p>
<p>Ballast: Ballast is permitted. Hanging weights may not extend more than 60 inches from the centerline of the front axle.</p>
<p>Batteries: The batteries must be securely mounted. They may not be located in the driver compartment or forward of the radiator core support.</p>
<p>Body: The body must be an OEM truck body, including the full bed floor. The body must retain full sheet metal. Metal aftermarket hoods are permitted.  Fiberglass is prohibited. The hood must be closed and securely latched while the vehicle is hooked to the sled. The complete OEM firewall and complete OEM floor pan is mandatory</p>
<p>Brakes: Four-wheel hydraulic brakes are mandatory.</p>
<p>Chassis: The OEM chassis is mandatory. The engine must be in the OEM location for the body used. The vehicle must retain the full OEM chassis. Wheel tubs, back-half conversions, tube chassis, etc., are prohibited.</p>
<p>Cooling System: Radiators must be in the vicinity of the stock location and be of at least stock size.</p>
<p>Credentials: All drivers must have a valid state drivers license.</p>
<p>Driveline: An OEM transmission and transfer case is mandatory. They must have been an option on a one-ton or smaller pickup.</p>
<p>Driver Restraint System: The OEM restraint system is mandatory and must be worn.</p>
<p>Driveshaft Loops: All trucks must have at least six inch wide u-joint shields around the rear u-joint constructed of at least ¼ inch steel or 3/8 inch aluminum that will safely contain the u-joint and the end of the rear shaft. All shields must be securely mounted to the vehicle. Any front shaft u-joint that is visible from the side of the truck must be shielded to contain the u-joint and the end of the shaft. A new puller will be granted a one-time waiver of this requirement.</p>
<p>Engine: The engine block must have been available as a factory option on a one-ton or smaller pickup truck. Blocks must circulate coolant freely.  Water pumps must be present, but may be powered electrically The use of concrete or other block fillers is prohibited. All factory belt-driven accessories, excluding the air conditioning compressor, must be retained and powered via the crankshaft by a standard serpentine or ‘V’ belt. Electric fans are permitted. Aftermarket radiator assemblies are permitted, but must be securely mounted in the same general area as the OEM unit.  NITROUS OXIDE is prohibited along with other oxygen extenders and the use of PROPANE is also prohibited. All system components MUST be removed from the truck.</p>
<p>Exhaust: All vehicles must be equipped to direct exhaust upward. The exhaust must exit rearward of the driver’s compartment. Stacks exiting through the hood or fender-well are prohibited. Two 3/8 inch diameter bolts must be installed through the exhaust pipe in a cross pattern within one inch of each other as close to the turbo as is practical.</p>
<p>Fire Extinguisher System: A fire extinguisher system is permitted. It must be securely mounted.</p>
<p>Fuel: The fuel must be pump #1/#2 diesel only. Soy/Bio-diesel fuel is permitted. Off-road diesel fuel is prohibited.</p>
<p>Fuel Injection Pump: The fuel injection pump is limited to a stock-appearing, OEM engine make-specific pump only.  Dual high-pressure common-rail fuel pumps or HPOPs are permitted. The P7100 injection pump, if equipped, must utilize a stock-appearing governor.</p>
<p>Harmonic Balancer: All engines turning 4500 RPM and higher must be equipped with a harmonic balancer or damper meeting SFI Spec 18.1.</p>
<p>Hitch: The hitch must be a receiver-style hitch; reinforcements are permitted. Reinforcements must not extend forward of the centerline of the rear axle. Trick hitches are prohibited.  The hooking point must be the rear-most point on the vehicle and must be rearward of the stock location of the tailgate. The hitch must be horizontal to the ground and stationary in all directions. Bumpers may be notched or removed. The hitch’s height from the ground may not exceed 26 inches on 4wd units and 30 inches on 2wd units. The hooking point must have a minimum 3.750-inch inside diameter opening for the sled hook. The hooking point will be measured to the center of the clevis loop.</p>
<p>Interior: A complete interior, including dashboard, door panels, headliner, etc., is mandatory. Two matching front seats are mandatory. Aftermarket seats are permitted; they must be fully upholstered. All factory controls (lights, signals, horn, windows, wipers, etc.) must be retained and be operative.  The use of hand-throttle controls are prohibited.</p>
<p>Rear End: Non-OEM rear-end housings are prohibited. The rear end must have been an option on a one-ton or smaller pick up.  Rear axle bolts must be covered by a cap or shield.</p>
<p>Steering: The vehicle must retain the full, original OEM steering gear. The vehicle must retain the original OEM power steering assistance, if it was so equipped. Additional stabilizers are permitted. Non-OEM power assist methods are prohibited.</p>
<p>Street Equipment: Complete headlight and taillight assemblies (all) are mandatory and must be operative. Complete OEM windshield and windows are mandatory. Windows must be operative per factory specifications; that is, they must open and close via OEM electrical or mechanical means.</p>
<p>Suspension, Front: The factory suspension configuration must be retained. The upper mounting point for strut assemblies must be in the factory location. Adjustable caster/camber pillow ball mounts are permitted. The lower control arm may be strengthened provided factory-mounting points to chassis are maintained. The lower mounting point for the strut assembly may be modified for improved caster or camber.  Strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars, and limit straps are permitted. Traction bars and devices are permitted. The final decision rests with the Technical Department.</p>
<p>Suspension, Rear: An OEM-style suspension is mandatory.  Traction bars and devices are permitted; they must be bolt on only; welds are permitted for attachment to frame or axle housing. Control arms may be strengthened or replaced, provided all original mounting points are retained. Strut tower braces, lower tie bars, sway bars, limit straps, and camber kits are permitted. The rear suspension may be bolted solid to eliminate travel.  All rear suspensions must use at least one working shock absorber per wheel.</p>
<p>Tires: The tires must be DOT street tires. Cut tires are prohibited.</p>
<p>Tow Vehicles: Tow vehicles are prohibited.</p>
<p>Transfer Case: Non-OEM transfer cases are prohibited. It must have been an option on a one-ton or smaller pick up truck.</p>
<p>Transmission, Automatic: Non-OEM transmissions are prohibited. Aftermarket torque converters, valve bodies and internal components are permitted. Transmission brakes are prohibited. Any non-OEM floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter must be equipped with a spring-loaded positive reverse lockout device to prevent the shifter from accidentally being put into reverse gear. A functional neutral safety switch is mandatory. All transmission lines must be metallic or high-pressure-type hose. All vehicles with engines running 4500 RPM or more and using an automatic transmission must be equipped with a transmission shield meeting SFI Spec 4.1 and must be labeled accordingly. A blanket-type shield is permitted; it must be appropriately labeled as meeting SFI Spec 4.1 and it must extend from the rear of the block to the front of tail housing with a minimum six-inch overlap where it is fastened. All non-blanket-type shields must incorporate two (or one, per manufacturers instructions) 3/4 inch by 1/8 inch straps that bolt to the shield on each side and pass under the transmission pan unless the transmission pan is labeled as meeting SFI Spec 4.1. All vehicles with engines running 4500 RPM or more and using an automatic transmission must be equipped with a flex plate meeting SFI Spec 29.1 and be covered by a flex plate shield meeting SFI Spec 30.1.</p>
<p>Transmission, Manual: Non-OEM transmissions are prohibited.  Aftermarket internal components are permitted. A clutch meeting minimum SFI Spec 1.1 or 1.2 is mandatory on all vehicles with engines running 4500 RPM or more. All manual transmissions must be clutch assisted. Sequential shifters are prohibited. All vehicles with engines running 4500 RPM or more and equipped with a manual transmission must have a flywheel shield labeled as meeting minimum SFI Spec 6.3 or greater. Applications for which an SFI Spec flywheel shield is not available may use a properly attached SFI 4.1 or 4.2 blanket that completely covers the bell housing; it must be attached to the block and extend rearward to the transmission with a minimum six inch overlap where it is fastened.</p>
<p>Turbocharger: The vehicle is limited to a single turbocharger; the inducer bore on the compressor housing may be 2.6”. The inlet will be measured using a 2.65-inch plug or internal calipers.  Bushing from any larger turbo size down to a 2.6 turbo is PROHIBITED. A stock map width enhancement (MWE) groove is allowed. No MWE groove will be allowed that has a width greater than 1/4 inch. All provisions allowing air to the wheel other than via the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited.  6.4 liter Powerstroke engines may utilize the factory twin-turbo configuration.</p>

<p>Water Injection: Water injection is prohibited. All system components must be removed from the truck.</p>
<p>Wheelbase: The vehicle must retain the original unaltered factory wheelbase and track width. Front dual-wheel spacers may be used only with accompanying positive-offset dually style wheels.</p>

<p>1. Modified tractors are those using any combination of engine(s), transmission(s), and final drive.</p>

The frame must be of sufficient strength that even when the bolts from the plate of the transmission or rear end are removed, the frame still supports the weight of the tractor in the heaviest class being entered.</p>
<p>4. Driveline/Driveline shielding:</p>
<p>a. No shaft over 48” long allowed. No input or output shaft that attaches to drive shaft may extend more than 4” beyond a bearing.</p>
<p>b. A minimum of 1” material between bolt and end of drive shaft shield. A minimum of 1” material to be in pilot holder at each end of the drive shaft shield. A minimum of eight (8) 3/8” (grade #8) bolts to hold carrier-bearing assembly if attached to a vertical plate.</p>
<p>5. Tires:</p>
<p>a. Tires no more than 30.5” wide.</p>
<p>b. Rim diameter limited to 32” on tire widths over 24.5”. Note: Width determined by manufacturer’s size.</p>
<p>6. Engine Limit:</p>
<p>a. Naturally aspirated automotive engines (must be carbureted) up to three engines, not to exceed 2000 cubic inches collectively.</p>
<p>b. No more than two (2) pressurized automotive engines (blowers, turbos, or fuel injected) No cubic inch limit.</p>
<p>c. Turbine limit – 1 at 2300 H.P.; 2 at 1300 H.P. government rating.</p>
<p>d. Other – Truck, aircraft (diesel or Allison) pressurized limit one (1).</p>
<p>7. Modified Open Class: Northwest rules for Modified tractors apply. Pro-Stock, Super Stock, Mod-Stock can enter but must meet Northwest rules. Farm Stock can enter but must meet Northwest rules.</p>

<p>2. Weight:</p>
<p>a. Super Farm — 9300 lbs.</p>

<p>(3) Fuel Pump-maximum “P” pump</p>
<p>iii. Limited Pro-Stock (a-pumps)</p>
<p>(1) Turbo — unlimited</p>
<p>(2) Engine CID — 540”</p>
<p>(3) Fuel Pump-maximum “A” pump</p>
<p>b. Engine cylinder head must be OEM for that brand of engine.</p>
<p>c. No overhead cams allowed.</p>
<p>d. OEM stock intake and exhaust manifolds for that brand of engine.</p>
<p>e. Turbocharger:</p>
<p>i. Alterations for turbo mounting are allowed.</p>
<p>ii. No altering of a housing to accommodate a smaller base.</p>
<p>iii. Intake and exhaust measurements will be taken at the face of the wheel.</p>
<p>f. Super Farm/Limited Pro-Stock tractors may have one (1) diesel injection pump with only one (1) plunger per cylinder. No Sigma pumps allowed.</p>
<p>g. Tractor is to use fuel for that make and model of tractor when manufactured. Water injection allowed, no intercoolers or after coolers.</p>
<p>h. Use of gasohol or alcohol is prohibited.</p>
<p>i. All turbocharged engines are required to have one cable that must surround the engine block and head. This cable shall be located between the first and second cylinder through the exhaust manifold port area. The cable will be a minimum of 3/8” thick with two (2) clamps at the splice. The cable should allow for approximately 4” of slack.</p>
<p>j. Turbocharged engines must have two (2) 3/8” bolts (grade #5) in vertical portion of exhaust pipe(s). Bolts to be installed 90 degrees to each other, within one (1) inch of each other.</p>
<p>4. Clutches:</p>
<p>a. All clutches and flywheels must be SFI Spec. 1.1 or SFI Spec. 1.2 approved. NO cast iron.</p>
<p>b. All SF/LP tractors are required to have an SFI approved, Spec 4.2 bell housing blanket, meeting the following minimum specification:</p>
<p>i. Seventeen (17) inches wide and long enough to allow for a 6 inch overlap.</p>
<p>ii. Secured with six (6) 2-inch wide nylon web straps with steel D rings sewn in the length of the blanket.</p>
<p>iii.Four (4) 2 inch wide nylon web retaining straps on both front and back of blanket.</p>
<p>c. Only mechanically activated clutches are permitted.</p>
<p>5. Sheet metal/Wheel Base/Chassis:</p>
<p>a. Tractor must have hood and grill in place as intended by manufacturer. All sheet metal is to be stock length and in stock position. Upgrade to present manufacturer is allowed but can not cross original manufacturers lines.</p>
<p>b. Tractor must retain stock appearance.</p>
<p>c. The distance from the center of the rear axle to that part of hood that is the farthest forward must be the same length of that model of the upgraded sheet metal.</p>
<p>d. Wheel base rule will apply to the original chassis not the model upgraded by the sheet metal.</p>
<p>e. Maximum wheelbase will be 114 inches unless originally produced with a longer wheelbase. Maximum length is 13 feet from the center of the rear wheel to the forward most portion of the chassis.</p>
<p>f. The chassis shall consist of stock or OEM engine block without alterations for chassis mounting with stock transmission housing or manufacturer replacement and stock final drive housing or manufacturers replacement.</p>
<p>g. Engine must remain in original location as intended by the manufacturer.</p>
<p>h. All engines must be secured and held rigid to an OEM chassis. The engine cannot move independently of the transmission or rear end.</p>
<p>i. OEM engine blocks cannot be modified except for repair or mounting pumps.</p>
<p>j. The chassis and frame must remain stock from the rear of the engine block to the rear of the tractor.</p>
<p>k. Clutch housing, transmission case, rear-end housing, and axle housing OEM; no aluminum replacement parts allowed.</p>
<p>l. Safety tie bars mounted to the rear axle housing with at least four (4) axle housing bolts and extending forward of the flywheel area and fastened to the side of the block or main frame with at least two (2) 5/8” bolts; OR a one piece frame extending from front of tractor to rear axle housing mounting bolts.</p>
<p>m. Wheelie bars required. Wheelie bars must extend 32” in front center line of axle. Pad must not be more than 10” off ground; pad must be a minimum of 5” x 5” square. Wheelie bars must support tractor in heaviest class pulled.</p>
<p>6. Draw Bars:</p>
<p>a. Draw bars must meet either ATPA or NTPA listed standards and be constructed so that in the event of draw bar breakage the draw bar supports do not pull from a top link or brace above the centerline of the rear axle of the vehicle.</p>
<p>b. Draw bar height for SF/LP tractors shall be 20 inches in height and 18 inches in length. Draw bar height or distance from center of rear axle cannot change during the pull.</p>
<p>c. Draw bar may not be connected to the wheelie bars.</p>
<p>d. The primary draw bar must be 8 inches above the secondary draw bar for those vehicles with a second draw bar. The hole in the second draw bar must be covered if not in use.</p>
<p>7. Tires—Maximum tire size 24.5 x 32. Maximum of 48 lugs.</p>
<p>8. Shielding</p>
<p>a. A deflection shield is required on both sides of all engines.</p>
<p>b. Shielding must extend the complete length of the block casting from the sheet metal hood to 2 inches below bottom center of the crankshaft throw and be securely fastened. It is recommended that quick release fasteners be used, such as Dzus type or cotter pin type hood pins.</p>
<p>c. Shielding must be a minimum of .060 inches thick steel or safety blanket materials.</p>
<p>d. Solid frame rails with no holes may serve as part of or all of shield, providing they cover the required block area.</p>
<p>e. A metal deflection shield is required between the driver and engine from the top of the hood to the top of the torque tube or transmission housing or clutch housing from side shield to side shield. This also serves as a fire shield in case of a flash flame out.</p>
<p>9. NO four-wheel drive model tractors are eligible for this class.</p>
<p>10. All vehicles are required to have working kill switches.</p>
<p>11. All drivers are required to wear DOT approved helmets and fire suits.</p>
<p>12. All vehicles are required to have a working fully charged fire extinguisher on board.</p>
<p>13. All vehicles will have roll cages and seat belts. Seat belts must be worn.</p>
<p>14. Vehicles with diesel or fuel injected ignition engines must have a three-way dump fuel shut off valve. The control is to be within easy reach of the driver as is the normal fuel shut off on a diesel fuel pump. Diesel engines must also be equipped with an emergency shut down air shut off at the intake that can be operated from the driver’s seat.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is a class for street legal and street licensed semi trucks.  This is truly an OPEN class for all semi trucks, but it is definitely NOT a PURE STOCK  class.</p>
<p>Legality of entry:</p>
<p>1. All entries must be a street licensed semi truck.</p>
<p>2. The owner must furnish a current registration card for the vehicle at the time of registration and the driver must have a valid CDL license.</p>
<p>3. Truck must be capable of pulling a trailer on the highway.</p>
<p>4. All trucks must be driven to pulls</p>
<p>Safety considerations:</p>
<p>1. No riders are permitted in truck during pull attempt.  Driver may not leave the drivers seat while vehicle is on the pulling track.  Driver will take all direction from the flagman on the track.</p>
<p>2. Drivers must use a seatbelt and shoulder harness when hooked to the sled.</p>
<p>Hitches:</p>
<p>1. Hitch height to be determined by promoter.</p>
<p>2. Hitch must work from the fifth wheel with the fifth wheel centered between center line of front axle to the center between the two axles.</p>
<p>3.    Must supply own NTPA style hitch. (Not Provided)</p>

<p>Airbags:</p>
<p>1. The use of air bags is permitted.  However no air may be added to or removed from the airbags while the truck is hooked to the weight transfer machine.</p>
<p>2. The height of the hitch must remain the same from start to finish.  Any change in the hitch height will be cause for disqualification.</p>
<p>Weight of Truck   (22,000 lb. maximum)</p>
<p>1. The truck shall appear “road ready”.</p>
<p>2. No added weight or ballast is permitted.</p>
<p>3. Special trucks, such as oil field trucks that carry additional weight that is not normally found on a “road ready” truck are not permitted in this class.</p>
<p>4. The promoter may weigh any truck at any time.</p>
<p>5. Trucks will triple rear axles are not permitted to participate in this class.</p>
<p>Specialty Rules</p>
<p>1. Chaining or blocking of drive axles is not permitted.</p>
<p>2. A single turbo-charger is the maximum permitted.  Exception:  a Factory 2006, 2007, 2008 Cat twin turbo engine is permitted with factory installed twin turbo set up and absolutely no modifications.  Also NTC 475 Cummins factory twin turbo set ups are allowed.</p>
<p>3. Water injection in any form is not permitted.</p>
<p>4. No ether, alcohol, nitrous or other combustible (propellant) liquid or combustible material may be injected into the turbocharger or any part of the air intake system.</p>
<p>5. Alteration/modification/replacement of the (OEM) original factory fuel pump is not permitted.  No pump may be modified with Sigma parts.  A Cummins engine must have a Cummins fuel pump—A Detroit must have a Detroit fuel pump – A Cat must have a Cat fuel pump.  Normal pump diesel is the only fuel permitted in this class.</p>
<p>6. Electronic engines must remain electronic.  No mechanical fuel pumps permitted on electronic engines.</p>
